85th Anniversary of Georgia's State Park System

Georgia State Parks & Historic Sites encompass 85,000 acres, from the mountain peaks of north Georgia to the marshlands on our "Colonial Coast." The Georgia State Park System was founded in 1931 with just two properties (Indian Springs and Vogel) and has grown to more than 60 sites that protect Georgia’s natural resources. 2016 marks our 85th anniversary, and we are commemorating with several programs throughout the year. Come join us as we celebrate those special places that make Georgia home.
