Guests will create a bird feeder from recycled materials. Afterwards, go on a bird hike or borrow some binoculars for a day of bird watching. The craft will take place in the Nature Center by the park office. $5 parking. 706-541-0321.

Home School Adventure- Birds of Prey

Children ages 7-12 will get a closer look at the raptors that make Georgia home. Focus will be on the importance of raptors in the web of life. Children will learn about birds of prey adaptations and how they help them survive. They will dissect owl pellets and create a food chain craft to carry home. $10 per child Pr-registration required. 706-541-0321.
Pre-K Adventure- Owls

Get Outdoors Georgia Baskets, Bunnies and “Egg-o-Caching”

Happy Easter! Ages 3 - 10 can create their own Easter baskets and go on a kid-friendly egg scavenger hunt through the woods. Afterward, visit with rabbits from the 4-H Bunny Club. At 1 p.m., families can join our Easter geocaching adventure to hunt for prized eggs throughout the park. Some GPS units available for rent. $2 basket program; $2/family geocaching with your own GPS; $5/family geocaching with GPS rental. $5 parking. 706-541-0321.

T-Shirt Scarfs

Ever wonder what to do with those old T-shirts you no longer wear? How about recycling those T-shirts into scarfs. Learn how to turn old t-shirts into unique scarfs. Join us at the campground shelter for coffee, cookies and crafting as we create these one of a kind scarfs.
