High Falls Lake Sweep

Over 1.4 billion pounds of trash is washed into our oceans worldwide. Make an impact this Earth Day by joining park volunteers for a little spring cleaning of High Falls Lake and watershed. Butterflies for Earth Day

We will meet at the Interpretive Center and start Earth Day off with a butterfly count. Splitting off into groups, we will see how many species we have in different habitats. Spread Like Wildflowers

Invasive Wipeout

We will perform a morning service project of wiping out the park's invasive plant species. An invasive species control workshop will follow, tailored to a typical land/yard owner's needs. By December most of the leaves will be off the tress at our site, and we are likely to be behind on raking them up. If you are interested in raking leaves, picking up sticks, piling them into trailers, and helping us unload them at an erosion control and composting area, then please call us ahead of time to let us know.
