ATVs and Off-Road Vehicles

Park roads are public roads. All vehicles are subject to license safety requirements and regulations of the Georgia Department of Public Safety. ATVs and off-road vehicles are not allowed in state parks.

Pets

Dogs are welcome at state parks and campgrounds if leashed (no longer than six feet) and accompanied by the owner at all times. Dogs are allowed in select "dog friendly" cottages with advance reservations. A fee per dog (limit 2) is charged. All state parks that offer cottages have at least one cottage that allows dogs. Kennels are not available. Owners should clean up after pets.
