  Florence Marina State Park
School Field Trip Programs

Florence Marina State ParkFlorence Marina State Park is situated on 173 acres on the northern end of lake Walter F George in Omaha, Georgia. With its beautiful lake and its pristine setting it is a favorite of most campers. Our park also offers to schools an opportunity to bring the classroom studies to life with ranger led programs that are correlated with Georgia Performance Standards.

School children can take a ranger led hike to the Indian Mounds to learn about Native Americans or take an educational boat ride to view birds and reptiles in their natural habitat. This also is an opportunity to learn the names of native species of plants along our shore line.
