The Park has recently opened (Summer 2002) a Nature & Education Center. The Center is open to the public for viewing its collection of stuffed animals, skulls and bones, plants and flowers, and birds (outside). The Interpretive Naturalist is available for programs to:

Small and Large Groups staying in the Park.

School children from Public and Private schools, and children who are home-schooled.

Program examples are:

Interpretive hikes through the park and forests of Oak, Pine, Maritime Forests, and Palmetto.

Bird watching walks along the River, the Forests and the Marsh.

Interpretive talks and demonstrations at the Gopher Tortoise nesting site.
