A volunteer is someone who contributes time and talent to a state park, historic site or golf course without compensation, but with a whole lot of heart. We need people like you to help us continue to prove our mission of teaching visitors from all lands and walks of life the importance of our natural and cultural resources. The beauty of this state and the diversity of its resources has attracted untold millions to learn, stretch, relax, explore and appreciate a world of grandeur and wonder.

Here are a few of the opportunities you can get involved with:
-
Campground and golf course hosting: these volunteers are used to help with the overall day-to-day operations on our parks and golf courses.
-
Event volunteers: volunteers are needed to help produce fun and exciting interpretive education events throughout the year.
-
General volunteer: so many parks and sites need volunteers on a daily, weekly, monthly, bi-monthly basis and this gives a volunteer an opportunity to get involved and stay involved for whatever time they have to give. This is also good for civic and community groups, as well as corporate volunteers.
The volunteer program is a fun and educational way to get involved and get enriched. It’s an experience that many can tell you they will remember for years to come. We hope that this is a program that you can’t resist!! |
