This event has already occurred.   (Archived)

Take part in the "Do Your Part to Preserve Your State Parks Day" workday at Seminole. We plan to continue clearing brush and debris from campsites to create more waterfront sites. Volunteers will meet at picnic shelter #3 (by the restrooms & playground) at 8 AM and we plan to work until 3 PM. Lunch will be provided to all volunteers. Tools will not be provided so please bring gloves, hole diggers, chainsaws, limb trimmers, axes, weed eaters, shovels, rakes and comfortable shoes. Come help us promote volunteerism and stewardship for our community as well as our state park and remember, the 28th is Your State Parks Day, so entrance to the park is free to all. Hope to see you there! Sponsored by Friends of Georgia State Parks. 229-861-3137.
