Chief Vann "Open Mansion" and Volunteer Day
As part of "Your State Parks Day" the Chief Vann House will host an "Open Mansion." (But we are so much more than just a house.) After touring the site, volunteers are encouraged to assist staff with various work projects on the grounds of Chief Vann's former plantation. Pack a picnic lunch and spend a day with us.
As part of Georgia's statewide "Your State Parks Day" the Chief Vann House will host an "Open Mansion" (we are so much more than just a house!) Volunteers will be on hand to guide visitors around the historic estate where a special quilt exhibition will be presented throughout. After touring, guests are welcome to help plant a winter garden at the Cherokee farmstead.
