Erosion Control Sod Laying Party
Tuesday, Sep 24, 2013
9 AM to 3 PM
This event has already occurred.
Chattahoochee Bend State Park received a donation of 18 pallets of sod to help with the erosion in the park. We need to get it laid out and in place to start growing! We are seeking all volunteers available for this project.
The park is pretty isolated so bring in your own water, snacks and lunch to help knock this project out quickly.
We are asking participants to arrive around 9:00 am (if after 9 get there when you can) and work into the afternoon.
Camp for free either September 23rd before the project or on the project day, September 24th.
Contact Tim Banks and/or Sid Cooper if you have park specific questions or to confirm your campsite for volunteering. The park number is 770-254-7271.
See you there! No parking fee if volunteering for the day.
