Take a guided hike on Flat Rock Trail at Chattahoochee Bend State Park.

Come hike with a naturalist at Chattahoochee Bend State Park for the first weekend of Spring. Walk the easy 1 mile loop on Flat Rock Trail and experience Spring on the granite rock outcropping and in Boulder Valley. Observe the lichens and mosses up close with a lighted 30X hand held microscope. First Weekend of Spring Guided Hike $5 parking. 770-254-7271.

DIRECTIONS: From I-85 North or South near Newnan, take Exit 47 Hwy. 34 (Bullsboro Blvd.). Go west .8 miles. Turn right onto Hwy. 34 Bypass (M Farmer Industrial Blvd.) and go 6 miles. Turn right onto Hwy. 34 (Franklin Road) at 4-way stop and go 8.2 miles. Turn right onto Thomas Powers Road and go 2.7 miles to a 4-way stop. The road name changes to Hewlett South Road. Continue straight .9 miles. Continue straight onto Bud Davis Road and go 1.9 miles. Turn right onto Flat Rock Road. The road name changes to Bobwhite Way. Continue straight to gated entrance of the park.
