 This event has already occurred.

Join us for a leisurely stroll through the moss laden live oaks of Hofwyl-Broadfield. Hear the stories of the men and women who owned the plantation as well as those who worked here in both slavery and freedom. Discover the Rice Kingdom that spawned a coastal aristocracy and a distinct African-American culture. We will finish with a guided tour of the 1850’s era plantation house. Walk will be approximately 1 ½ miles. Bring bug spray and sunscreen and dress appropriate for the season.
