Reed Bingham State Park Welcomes Colquitt Native Suzanne Passmore as New Manager
ADEL, GA, April 21, 2010 ~~ The Georgia Department of Natural Resources (DNR) has appointed Colquitt County native Suzanne Passmore as the new manager of Reed Bingham State Park. Passmore was previously the resource manager at Little Ocmulgee State Park in McRae, and she started her new position in Adel on April 16.
“Suzanne will be a wonderful asset to Reed Bingham,” said State Park Region Manager Ronnie Eakins. “Her combination of education and experience in both state park management and resource management are what made her such a strong candidate for the job. Those skills match DNR’s mission for being good a steward of Georgia’s state parks.”
Passmore graduated from Colquitt County High School, then earned a Wildlife Technology and Criminal Justice degree from Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College. She began her career with the DNR in 2004 as an enforcement ranger at Georgia Veterans Memorial State Park in Cordele.
“Reed Bingham is such a wonderful park and I am excited about working with volunteers, Friends of Reed Bingham and other organizations to help continue the park’s progress,” said Passmore. “I look forward to meeting new people here and am grateful to be able to serve the people in my hometown.”
