First Day Hike Event

This is the Savannah everyone wants to see. Come enjoy a beautiful hike along our scenic marsh and Moon River, to Battery Wimberly, a Civil War earthen fort. Interpretive guides will give a history of Wormsloe along the way, including information about one of the most well preserved Civil War earthworks in Georgia. Regular admission prices apply, and the tour will last approximately 1.5 hours. Please wear comfortable shoes. The tour will begin from the Wormsloe Historic Site Visitor Center and will travel to Battery Wimberly. For more information please contact the site at 912-353-3023.
