Perhaps the oldest road in Georgia, the Unicoi Turnpike was an active trade route used by Native Americans, prior to becoming a toll road in 1819. The house at Hardman Farm sits on the remnants of this road. Learn more about life on the trail and the farm on this tour.

Hardman Farm is located at the intersection of Highways 17 and 75, one mile south of Helen. The temporary entrance is on Highway 75 just north of the intersection.
Some GPS units will mistakenly take you into downtown Helen.
