Georgia State Parks and Historic Sites

Environmental Improvement
The Georgia State Parks and Historic Sites Division manages over 68,000 acres which include your state parks and historic sites. Volunteers assist with a wide variety of projects that improve the environment for both the plant and animal communities and our park and site visitors. Environmental improvement projects offer conservation clubs and environmental organizations to become involved on the grass roots level. Throughout the year our parks offer opportunities for stream improvement projects, reforestation, wildlife habitat improvement or simply picking up litter.
