Volunteers contribute time and talent to a state park, historic site or golf course without compensation but with a whole lot of heart. They assist in accomplishing our mission of teaching visitors the importance of our natural and cultural resources. The beauty of this state and the diversity of its resources have attracted millions to learn, stretch, relax, explore and appreciate a world of grandeur and wonder.
Educators, active or retired, now have a brand new opportunity within our volunteer program.
|
A FEW OF THE OPPORTUNITIES AVAILABLE ARE:
- Campground and golf course hosting: these volunteers help with the overall day-to-day operations on our parks and golf courses.
- Event volunteers: volunteers are needed to produce fun and exciting interpretive education events throughout the year.
- General volunteer: many parks and sites need volunteers on a daily, weekly, monthly, or bi-monthly basis. Volunteers get an opportunity to be involved for whatever time they have to give. Civic and community groups, as well as corporate volunteers, can take advantage of this great opportunity.
The volunteer program is a fun and educational way to contribute, get involved and get enriched. It’s an experience that you will remember for years to come. This is a program that you can’t resist!!
