2010 PHOTO CONTEST

Please read the photo contests rules and other information provided below.
SUBMITTING ENTRIES:
  • Entries must be received on cd/dvd and as 8x10 gloss prints by Tuesday, August 31, 2010.
  • Contestants must submit their photographs digitally as 300 DPI, jpg or pdf files as well as a print photo.
  • Digital and print photos are to be sent to:

  • When saving your digital picture please save it as your last name and first initial. For multiple entries, include numbers 1 through 5 followed by your first initial. Example: jsmith2.jpg.
  • Photo Release - by submitting photos to these contests, the photographer is giving non-exclusive usage rights to the Georgia Department of Natural Resources and Fort McAllister State Historic Park as stated below.
  • Minor digital enhancement for cropping, red-eye removal, filters and corrective functions are permitted, but images to be judged are not to be altered in any significant manner or will be disqualified. Contestants are not permitted to place borders, frames or backgrounds around their images nor place watermarks, dates, signatures or copyright images onto photos.
FORMAT:
  • Photographs must be high resolution, 300 DPI digital, taken at 1024x768 (or higher) pixels or highest resolution possible. Must be jpg or pdf files only.
  • Photographs must have been taken at Fort McAllister State Historic Park.
  • Photographs are to either be nature shots or of the fort and must not include people.
USAGE:
  • By submitting photographs, contestants give the Georgia Department of Natural Resources and Fort McAllister State Historic Park non-exclusive rights including but not limited to advertising, websites, promotions, publications, media relations and commercial resale use. Photo credit and compensation will not be granted. Contestants retain their own usage rights.
