Accommodations at Georgia State Parks
Georgia's state parks have accommodations for all preferences and budgets. Outdoor enthusiasts can choose from numerous campsites, while others may prefer cozy cottages or hotel-style lodge rooms.
These relaxing resorts are perfect for quick getaways, reunions, receptions and family vacations. The five lodges vary in size from 33 to 100 guest rooms, each with in-room television, telephone and climate control. Suites, sleeping lofts, non-smoking and ADA accessible rooms are available. Pets are not allowed in lodge rooms.
Whether you are a first-time camper or an experienced backpacker, Georgia's state parks have a campsite for you. Forty-one parks offer more than 2,700 campsites, including tent-only areas, RV pull-thru sites, primitive camping and group camping areas. Most state parks have laundry facilities and sell camping supplies.
Cozy cottages with one, two or three bedrooms are available at 29 state parks. In most cases, cottages are located on lakes or hillsides, providing spectacular views. Cottages are equipped with stoves, refrigerators, kitchen and dining utensils, bed linens, blankets and towels.
Luxury-loving campers will enjoy the yurts, which are like canvas and wood tents, providing comfortable furniture inside and a grill and picnic table outside. Other facilities include cabin bunkhouses, a 4-bed camper cabin, and Squirrel's Nest camping platforms.
Groups can spend the night in hotel-style Lodges, Group Lodges, Group Camps, and Pioneer Campsites. Georgia State Parks are great for business meetings, family reunions, weddings, parties and retreats. Guests will enjoy the retreat-like atmosphere and scenic beauty, as well as hiking, boating, golf and fishing.
