General Hardee's Corp of the Confederate Army was attacked by three Union Corps - the 23rd, 14th and 4th - on May 14 and 15, 1864. The federal army suffered heavy casualties during this battle. Located in a rugged section of northwest Georgia, the site is currently not open to the public and has no facilities.
