For Outdoor Weddings
Amicalola Falls State Park hosts a number of weddings each year. Weddings may be held in a more traditional environment by utilizing the Lodge or outside enjoying our natural resources. We are happy to allow weddings in the park as long as certain stipulations are met. Our main concern is for the safety and convenience of all visitors, as well as the preservation of our natural resources.
Weddings utilizing our natural resource are usually held either at the Top of the Falls or at the Reflection Pool near the base of the Falls. Both of these areas receive a great deal of use, over one million visitors per year. Each of these areas are classified as Day Use areas and cannot be reserved.Due to the number of visitors and the size of the areas mentioned above, we ask that you keep the number of guests to a minimum. No changes are to be made to the area and we do not allow tents, chairs, trellises, flowers, decorations, rice, or music. A larger ceremony or reception could take place in pavilions or picnic areas located in the Day Use Area, utilizing banquet facilities in our Lodge, or you could also reserve the Upper Amphitheater for a rental fee by calling the Lodge at 800-573-9656. When hosting an outside ceremony, there is always the chance of Mother Nature spoiling your event! We cannot hold any type of back up space for your ceremony if utilizing our Natural Resources. Picnic tables are on a first come, first serve basis. If you are interested in holding your special event here, please send us a detailed letter of your ceremony request. This letter should include: the date and time of your ceremony, how many guests are expected to attend, the particular area that you would like your ceremony to take place, and that you fully understand all the stipulations that are required for your ceremony to take place at this natural resource. If you have any questions regarding the particulars and/or would like to schedule a visit to walk through the area, please feel free to contact us at 800-573-9656.
