Endangered Species Projects

Resource management volunteers play an important role in keeping our park managers and staff up-to-date concerning the current population and health of rare or endangered plants and animals located on the park. Environmental groups, clubs or individuals that are interested with the native plants and animals have an open invitation to put the expertise of their group to important work surveying and managing the plant and animal species within our state parks. In addition to survey and management opportunities our volunteers assist with reforestation, prescribed burns, wildlife and fishery management work.
