Location:
The Sapelo Ferry and Visitor Center are located in Meridian, 8 miles east of Darien, off
Ga. Hwy. 99.
Traveling from the North:
South on I-95 to Exit #58
Turn Left onto GA Hwy. 57
Go Approximately one mile to a four-way stoplight. Go straight across. As you pass though the intersection, Ga Hwy 57 will become Hwy. 99
Travel 8.6 miles to the community of Meridian.
Turn left at the blue and white "Sapelo Island National Estaurine Research Center" sign. Stay on the paved road and turn right on the bridge.
Follow the road to the Visitors Center.
Traveling from the South:
North on I-95 to Exit #58
Turn right onto GA HWY 57

Parking
Please park at the Visitors Center Parking Lot. You may park temporarily at the dock to unload or load your luggage.
Ferry Rules
On the state-operated ferry, pets, bicycles, motorbikes, canoes, beach chairs, or flammable liquids are not permitted. Alcoholic beverages may not be consumed on the ferry. All persons must stop by the Visitor’s Center to pay the ferry fee and sign the passenger list as they board the ferry. The cost for the ferry is $10.00 per person, roundtrip. Your Conference Coordinator will make the necessary ferry reservations for your group from the list of names and addresses you furnish two weeks before your arrival.
Due to ferry reservation compliances, your group must arrive and depart Sapelo together, as a group.
