Sweetwater Creek Reunions

Sweetwater Creek State Park Mill Ruins
 
Sweetwater Creek State Park includes 2,549 acres of forested land, more than 9 miles of hiking trails, a 215 acre lake with two fishing docks, a Visitor’s Center with displays on local history and wildlife, and a bait shop that rents kayaks, canoes, pedal boats and jon boats. To contact the park for information or reservations, please call 770-732-5871 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., seven days a week.

Family Reunion Packages

Package 1—$225

  • Sweetwater Creek State Park ReunionOne day rental of the Group Shelter between 10 a.m. and 9:30 p.m. (max occupancy 150 people)
  • The Group Shelter is a fully enclosed building, including a large, outdoor BBQ pit, kitchen facilities, folding tables and chairs, private restrooms, playground, and 60 parking spaces
  • Discounted parking fee: 25 or more pre-paid passes will receive 20% off the $5/vehicle fee

Package 2—$75

  • One day rental of one of 8 unique picnic pavilions located throughout the park between 10 a.m. and sunset (max occupancy 50 people)
  • Pavilions include 4 large picnic tables, a charcoal grill, water spigot, and electricity

  • Private, Ranger-led tours of the Civil War era New Manchester mill ruins situated alongside the ½ mile stretch of whitewater rapids of Sweetwater Creek
  • Private wildlife and educational programs designed to meet your family’s specific interests
