Scotland Road VPA

Scotland Road VPA is a 199-acre area first leased in 2020 that provides deer, small game and turkey opportunities. There is no coyote or hog seasons on this property. Hunters utilizing this area for deer or turkey hunting should be sure to check their game using Georgia Game Check and select Public Land option, Laurens County, and then Scotland Road VPA.

Cedar Grove VPA

Cedar Grove VPA is a 294-acre area first leased in 2020 that provides deer, small game and turkey opportunities. There is no coyote or hog seasons on this property. Hunters utilizing this area for deer or turkey hunting should be sure to check their game using Georgia Game Check and select Public Land option, Laurens County, and then Cedar Grove VPA.

Ranges at Oakfield Shooting Range

The Ranges at Oakfield is located in Thomas County. Established in 2020, the Ranges at Oakfield is a new sport shooting facility available to the public in southwest Georgia. This range, offering rifle, pistol and shotgun opportunities, was developed with the assistance of the Georgia DNR's Wildlife Resources Division, and is managed and operated by Thomas County (daily rates or memberships available). Please note that Green Tip or armor piercing ammo is not allowed at the range.

Silver Lake PFA

Silver Lake Public Fishing Area is located on 9,500 acres of long leaf and wiregrass dominated pine flat woods in Decatur County. The area is comprised of more than 30 lakes and ponds totaling 537 acres, making it one of the largest PFAs in the state. Outdoor enthusiasts will enjoy our many nature trails that meander through pine stands and dip close to the waters edge. The property contains several geocaches for weekend explorers. Abundant wildlife on the property provides opportunities for hunters and trappers to hone their skills.

Canoochee Sandhills WMA

Canoochee Sandhills WMA is located in Bulloch and Bryan Counties near Groveland, GA. This 10,224-acre WMA consists of a mix of sandhill, flatwoods, bay swamp, and floodplain forests that border Lotts Creek. Many of the sandy uplands on the area are remnants of ancient wind-blown river dune formations and provide important habitat for gopher tortoises and other animal and plant species considered high priorities for conservation.
