Dog Walking: Four-Legged Visitors Welcome

Bring your four-legged family member along to Georgia's State Parks and you’ll see a wagging tail the whole time. Dogs are welcome on state park trails except specific hikes at Tallulah Gorge and Panola Mountain. Some parks even offer ranger-led dog hikes where you and your pet can meet new friends.
Dogs are also allowed in regular tent/RV campgrounds and in select cottages with advance reservations. Pets are not allowed at most historic sites or in any buildings other than pet-friendly accommodations. Owners must be with their pets at all times and should always pick up after them. Find out more about traveling with pets at Georgia State Parks.
Tails On Trails ClubPets need exercise just like we do. Join our  Tails On Trails Club and you’ll have a great time exploring Georgia with your best friend. Walk participating park trails, get your membership card punched at the end of each hike, and you’ll earn a t-shirt for yourself and matching bandana for Bailey.
