We'll help you find the best places to enjoy fall color in Georgia. Right now, a bit of color is showing at higher elevations.  At lower elevations, only a few stray sourwoods and dogwoods have turned red or dropped leaves. Overall, the forest is still green.  Peak color in the north Georgia mountains is usually in late October and early November. However, it's not too early to start making plans. Because cabins and campsites fill up quickly during leaf-watching season, visitors should make reservations as soon as possible.
