Bruner Named Regional Manager for Georgia’s State Parks

EDISON, GA

Georgia Department of Natural Resources officials have named Matt Bruner as the new Region 3 manager for its Parks, Recreation and Historic Sites Division.

Bruner will oversee the operations of 12 sites in middle and southwest Georgia, including Kolomoki Mounds, F.D. Roosevelt, Indian Springs, Florence Marina and Seminole state parks.

Bruner has been Region 3 Assistant Manager for the last two years. Prior to that he was at Kolomoki Mounds State Park for 16 years, 5 years as assistant manager and 11 years as manager. Bruner, a native of Bluffton, Georgia, graduated from Randolph Clay High School. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in History from Georgia Southwestern State University. Bruner, his wife Leigh, and children Cole, 15, Taylor, 13, and Abby, 11, will continue to reside in Edison, Georgia.
