Get Outdoors Georgia National Trails Day Hike

F.D. Roosevelt State Park - Pine Mountain, GA
Trek the woodlands with Pine Mountain Trail Association guides through a diverse mixed hardwood forest. Walk ends at the Liberty Bell Pool. There will be transportation to get hikers back to their cars. Meet at the Park Office parking lot on Hwy 190. Moderate 3.4 mile hike. Bring water. $5 parking. 706-663-4858.

Junior Ranger Explorer Camp (for ages 10 & 11)

Discover the natural wonders of the park from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM Wed. thru Fri. and participate in a special campfire/ awards night 8:00 PM Fri. $75 fee includes swimming on 3 days, art projects, camp journal, t-shirt, special citizen science activities, outstanding instructors, and a parking pass for parents on Friday. Camp meets in large the Picnic Shelter next to the pool. Register in advance. $75. 706-663-4858.
