Join us in "mulching the mountain" during this special volunteer day. Help beautify the park, increase visitor accessibility, and decrease stormwater runoff and erosion by transporting and spreading mulch around the day use area. Free park entry for volunteers. Our swamp boardwalk will be cleaned and repaired, erosion areas will be remedied, and flora that interrupts the trail's flow will be cleared. Come out to the park to plant our 30 saplings, chosen to promote wildlife welfare at the park. Butterflies for Earth Day

We will meet at the Interpretive Center and start Earth Day off with a butterfly count. Splitting off into groups, we will see how many species we have in different habitats. All month long you will be able to drop canned goods off at the park's Visitor's Center. This is a Tri-County competition between Ware, Brantley, and Pierce Counties.
