Skidaway Island State Park - Savannah, GA
Day camp for 6-11 year olds. Join the park staff for a fun week full of hikes, crafts, games and more focused on the natural and cultural heritage of Georgia. During the week your child will work to earn a Junior Ranger patch. Registration is limited, call early to sign up. $100. 912-598-2300.

Gold mining is a fascinating part of the history of Smithgall Woods and the surrounding area. Hear about the history of gold mining with local historians and enjoy a guided hike to the Martin Mine Trail. Bring a picnic lunch and hear the history of Smithgall Woods and other Smithgall stories. Children will enjoy the wonders of fall. In this Jr. Ranger program children will participate in an adventure into the woods on a leaf hike, go on a fall scavenger hunt and make a leaf craft.
