Get Outdoors Georgia Memorial Day Fun at Fort Yargo!
Saturday & Sunday 8 PM - 9:15 PM from May 25, 2013 until May 26, 2013 
Fort Yargo State Park - Winder, GA
On Saturday we'll have Night Hike at the park! Meet at the boat ramp in campground 2 by 8 PM. We'll see what animals are out and about after dark and will end the hike with S'mores at the amphitheater located between campgrounds 1 & 2. Night Hike Fee is $5 person, ParkPass not included. No dogs, please! Then on Sunday go kayaking or canoeing at night. Meet at the beach boat dock area by 7 PM and enjoy this ranger led evening paddle on the lake. $5-$15 plus $5 parking. 770-867-3489.

Living History Chinking Party

Fort Yargo State Park - Winder, GA
It's time to replace the chinking on the 'old fort'. Living History will make the chinking onsite and would love to have everyone come out this weekend and help stomp in the mud. Be prepared to get dirty. There will be a hayride to the beach several times during the day Saturday to help with cleanup. Bring an instrument and let's have an evening of bonfire and music Saturday Night! Dinner will be served on Saturday night at 6 pm. An you can camp by the Old Fort for $5.00 per tent per night. $5 parking. 770-867-4632.

The run/walk will raise money for the Georgia Firefighters Burn Foundation. The XC 5K start/finish will take place in beautiful Fort Yargo State Park.
