Lake Allatoona is operated by the Army Corps of Engineers at Red Top Mountain State Park, Lake Lanier is operated by the KSL Recreation Corporation and Stone Mountain is operated by Herschend Family Entertainment Corporation. This means that these properties do not fall under state park rules and regulations.
Dogs are welcome at state parks and campgrounds if leashed (no longer than six feet) and accompanied by the owner at all times. Dogs are allowed in select "dog friendly" cottages with advance reservations. A fee per dog (limit 2) is charged. All state parks that offer cottages have at least one cottage that allows dogs. Kennels are not available. Owners should clean up after pets. Read more about pets in state parks.
