Chestatee WMA

Chestatee Wildlife Management Area is located in Lumpkin and White counties. This 27,124 acre property has hunting opportunities for deer, bear, turkey and small game.

Chattahoochee WMA

Chattahoochee Wildlife Management Area is located in White County. This 25,150 acre property has hunting opportunities for deer, bear, turkey and small game. Over 19 miles of hiking trails are open to the public.

Swallow Creek WMA

Swallow Creek Wildlife Management Area is located in Towns County. This 19,000 acre property has hunting opportunities for deer, bear, turkey and small game. There are approximately 25 miles of hiking trails open to the public. 

 

Cohutta WMA

Cohutta Wildlife Management Area is located in Murray, Fannin and Gilmer counties. This 96,503 acre property has hunting opportunities for deer, turkey and small game. Over 158 miles of hiking, biking and equestrian trails are open to the public.

Otting WMA

This 669-acre state-owned Wildlife Management Area is in Northwest Georgia (Chattooga County).  Bisected by the East Fork of the Little River positioned on top of a plateau on the Lookout Mountain chain, this area features an interspersion of upland mixed pine hardwood forests and old fields as well as unique natural rock outcrops.  Popular hunting opportunities include archery deer, turkey, and small game such as squirrel and rabbit as well as is used for furbearer dog training.

 

Zahnd WMA

This 1,387-acre Wildlife Management Area is located in the Ridge and Valley ecoregion of Northwest Georgia in Walker County sharing a boundary with the adjacent Crockford-Pigeon Mountain WMA.  Hunting interests primarily include turkey, archery deer and squirrel.  Originally acquired as a state natural area, this property features many protected plants and animals as well as gorgeous rock outcrops popular for climbing. 

 

Crockford-Pigeon Mountain WMA

This 20,657-acre state-owned Wildlife Management Area is in Northwest Georgia (Walker County). This area features abundant wildlife, miles of trails, unique natural features, and gorgeous views.  Hunters consider it a favorite hunting destination for deer, turkey, squirrel, quail, and rabbit. Many protected species call this area home. Locations popular to visit include: Rocktown, Lost Wall, Pocket, Pettyjohn’s Cave, Sawmill Lake, Bluehole Springs, Civil War Wayside. This WMA boasts 5 designated camping areas, numerous trails and trailheads, and historic Mountain Cove.

Warwoman WMA

Warwoman Wildlife Management Area is located in Rabun County. This 15,800 acre property offers hunting opportunities for deer, bear, turkey and small game. There are over 35 miles of hiking and nature trails available. rout fishing is available at Hood Creek, Walnut Fork Creek, Sarah's Creek and tributaries of each.

 

Pine Log WMA

Pine Log Wildlife Management Area is located in White, GA. This 14,134 acre property offers opportunities for deer, bear, turkey, small game and dove hunting. There are over 23 miles of hiking, biking and equestrian trails as well as access to trout streams. Trails are closed all day during deer firearms season and before 10:00 a.m. during deer archery and turkey season. No ATVs are allowed on the property. No night hunting.
