Gatherings at Sweetwater Creek State Park

Sweetwater Creek State Park includes 2,549 acres of forested land, more than 9 miles of hiking trails, a 215 acre lake with two fishing docks, a Visitor Center with displays on local history and wildlife, and a bait shop that rents kayaks, canoes, pedal boats and jon boats. Group Shelter Ceremony & Reception — $225

  • One day rental of the Group Shelter between 10 a.m. and 9:30 p.m. (Max occupancy 150 people)
  • Indoor reception area, including kitchen facilities, rustic fireplace and large outdoor BBQ pit
  • Tables and chairs for the event
  • 60 private parking spaces
  • Discount on second day rental for setup or breakdown ($175 for either day. Must contact park directly at 770-732-5871)

Picnic Pavilion 1 & Lakeside Ceremony — $275/day

Hold your ceremony on the grassy lakeside area and have private use of the picnic pavilion adjacent to the lake and parking during park operating hours.

Lakeside Ceremony — $200/day

  • Open area for an outdoor, lakeside ceremony
  • Available during park operating hours, 7 a.m. to dusk

Picnic Pavilion Ceremony & Reception — $75

  • One day rental of a picnic pavilion during park operating hours (Max occupancy 50 people)
  • Electricity and charcoal grill included
  • Picnic tables for the event

Package 1 — $225

  • One day rental of the Group Shelter between 10 a.m. and 9:30 p.m. (max occupancy 150 people)
  • The Group Shelter is a fully enclosed building, including a large, outdoor BBQ pit, kitchen facilities, folding tables and chairs, private restrooms, playground, and 60 parking spaces

Package 2 — $75

  • One day rental of one of 8 unique picnic pavilions located throughout the park between 10 a.m. and sunset (max occupancy 50 people)
  • Pavilions include 4 large picnic tables, a charcoal grill, water spigot, and electricity

  • Private, ranger-led tours of the Civil War era New Manchester mill ruins situated alongside the ½ mile stretch of whitewater rapids of Sweetwater Creek
