West Point WMA

West Point Wildlife Management Area is a 8,952-acre property located in Troup County. This WMA offers hunting opportunities for deer, turkey, small game, dove and waterfowl. No gasoline outboards allowed on waterfowl impoundments and no fishing on managed waterfowl impoundments.

The Dixie Creek Area is 711 acres with hunting opportunities for deer, turkey, small game and waterfowl. The Glovers Creek Area is 337 acres open for deer and waterfowl hunting.

Walton WMA

Walton Wildlife Management Area is a 200-acre, state-owned complex of scattered crop fields, fallow fields, and wooded areas. The primary focus of this WMA is to showcase dove field management.  A variety of crops such as wheat, millet, sunflowers, and grain sorghum are annually planted to attract doves and other wildlife. The area also offers archery deer hunting and other small game hunting. Only shotguns may be used for small game hunting.
