Alerts - Temporary Fire Bans

Georgia State Parks has lifted the total ban on campfires, cooking fires, and charcoal grills at many sites. While the ban has been lifted, visitors are asked to remain vigilant and attentive to their fires.

Campfires, cooking fires, and charcoal grills are still prohibited at the following sites:

  • Crooked River
  • General Coffee
  • Hofwyl-Broadfield Plantation
  • Laura S. Walker
  • Stephen C. Foster
  • Suwannee River Eco Lodge

The use of attended propane grills and propane fire pits are currently allowed.
