Conditional Employment

Applicants selected to fill Law Enforcement positions must accept Conditional Employment with DNR. The terms of this Conditional Employment are as follows:

  • The applicant must possess sufficient physical, mental, and emotional condition, as determined by a psychological evaluation and a medical history and examination, necessary to perform the essential functions of the above position.
  • The applicant must be a POST Certified Peace Officer, or successfully complete POST Basic Law Enforcement Course Training after being selected for employment with the Division. 
  • All selected candidates must successfully complete the 15-week Game Warden Academy.
