Due to the widespread damage across many Georgia counties from Hurricane Helene’s impact, some state parks remain closed. We encourage you to make reservations at parks far from the impacted areas to avoid putting extra strain on limited resources in these communities.


Closures

State Parks and Historic Sites Properties:

  • Brazell's Creek Golf Course (front 9 are closed)
  • Elijah Clark (planned reopening on November 15)
  • General Coffee (planned reopening on January 1)
  • George L. Smith (planned reopening on December 1)
  • Mistletoe (planned reopening on November 1)
