Boat lovers can think of Georgia State Parks as their second vacation home. We offer boat ramps, docks, rentals* and marinas. Some campgrounds and cabins even have adjacent docks. Water skiing, sailing and personal watercraft are permitted on large lakes; however, some parks on smaller lakes have horsepower restrictions to preserve the tranquil setting and wildlife. Some facilities may be closed during drought, so it's always best to check ahead. For added adventure, Stephen C. Foster State Park offers guided boat tours through the mysterious Okefenokee Swamp.

*A.H. Stephens, Crooked River, F.D. Roosevelt, Florence Marina, Fort Mountain, Fort Yargo, George L. Smith, George T. Bagby, Georgia Veterans, Gordonia-Alatamaha, Hard Labor Creek, High Falls, Indian Springs, James H. Floyd, Kolomoki Mounds, Reed Bingham, Seminole, Stephen C. Foster and Sweetwater Creek offer boat rentals. Call the park for the types of boats available and pricing.
